Shahid Siddiqui: Early Life and Education
Shahid Siddiqui was born on January 15, 1986, in the vibrant area of Dharavi, Mumbai, into a respected Muslim family of Sheikhs (Siddiqui). As the eldest of four children, Shahid was raised under the care of his parents, Mohd Sabir Siddiqui and Umera Khatoon, who instilled in him the values of hard work and education. Growing up in one of Asia’s largest slums, Shahid’s childhood was marked by both challenges and resilience, shaping his character and ambitions from a young age.
From a young age, Shahid helped his father, who ran a small business in Dharavi, developing a strong understanding of business operations. Despite the hardships, Shahid excelled in his academic journey, completing his higher secondary education in 2004. His passion for business and debate set him apart during his school years.
In 2007, Shahid earned his Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) degree from Mumbai University, following his parents’ guidance and personal drive to excel in academics. Shahid’s journey to becoming a Chartered Accountant (CA) culminated in 2013 after years of focused study, marking a major milestone in his professional career.
